Allahabad, Nov 16: The Allahabad High Court today modified its interim order on the use of scaling system by the UP Public Service Commission in provincial civil services examination and said it would be open to completing the examination process and declaring the result but restrained the commission from issuing any appointment letter. A two judges bench comprising Justice G P Mathur and Justice N K Mehrotra has said declaration of result shall be subject to result of the writ petition the court has fixed Nov 27, 2002 for further hearing in the matter.
Earlier, an another bench of the court by means of its order passed on October 30 had restrained the UPPSC from declaring the final result of the PCS examination 2001 and not to proceed in persuance of PCS examinations. The order has been passed on the writ petitions filed by Subhash Chand Pandey and others challenging use of scaling system in PCS examinations.
In an another petition filed by one Manoj Kumar Yadav also, the court has asked the Commission to file counter affidavit. In this petition the petitioner has alleged irregularities in preparation of result on the basis of scaling system.
The petitioner had appealed to declare the result of PCS main examination on the basis of actual marks obtained the candidates. Bureau Report
