New Delhi, Aug 09: iGate is going ahead to grab a slice of the offshore services market pie in India. Ashok Trivedi, who co-founded iGate in 1986 with Sunil Wadhwani, is relocating to India with this agenda, according to a report in American City Business Journal.
"Offshoring is the next big wave, and there is immense potential for those who identify new opportunities and build on them," Trivedi, who is iGate's president said. "(My) being based out of India will help iGate to spot these new trends and convert them to business."
So far, Trivedi had been working out of the company’s headquarters in Pittsburgh, United States.
More than half of iGate’s 4,000 employees are based in the five offices the company has in India. A subsidiary, iGate Global Solutions, is based in Bangalore.
