New Delhi, Aug 18: Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav today said that attempts were being made to "suppress facts" in the CBI probe into poetess Madhumita murder case and wanted Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to clarify matters as the incident had taken place in his constituency, Lucknow. "The murder (of a woman) is being probed by CBI which is directly under the Prime Minister. It was going in right direction till recently but now attempts are being made to suppress facts in the probe,” he said while speaking in favour of no-confidence motion moved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He said that names of two ministers (in Mayawati government) were being mentioned in connection with the episode besides that of a foreigner.

The chair, however, expunged references to the foreigner
