Ranveer Singh: Bittu to Bajirao - which avatar do you like the most?
Ranveer Singh has proved his versatility by performing a variety of roles since he made his debut five years back.
Mumbai: In a career spanning over 5 years, Ranveer Singh has emerged as a strong pillar in Bollywood. He is here to play a very long innings and deserves all the appreciation.
He played a typical next-door Delhi boy in ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ in his debut film and then went on to play a flamboyant conman in ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’. In both these films, Ranveer Singh sported a similar look. Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Lootera’ saw him transform from a street-smart boy to a gentleman of the 1950s. And then came ‘Gunday’ that made him grow his hair and moustache like a retro hero.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ gave Ranveer’s onscreen presence as new definition, as he flaunted his chiselled robust physique in a manner he never did before.
In Homi Adajania’s ‘Finding Fanny’, Ranveer played Gabo (a cameo role). But the look that he sported did ultimate justice to the weird but funny character.
‘Kill Dil’ which saw Ranveer sporting a very regular look proved to be a dud at the Box Office and his ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ avatar was typically urban.
But his latest – ‘Bajirao Mastani’ turned the tide for him. He sported a nearly bald look in the film that required him to work a lot on his Marathi accent, body language like a warrior and the maturity of a Peshwa.
