New Delhi, Aug 26: Star Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh returned his fourth straight under-par score to finish tied-41st at the $ 425,000-2002 Permian Basin Open at the Par-72, midland country club, midland, Texas. Jeev who returned a final round two-under 70, finished with a tournament tally of six-under 282 which earned him a cheque of $1,913.
The Indian's first three rounds had brought him scores of 71, 71 and 70 respectively, according to reports received here today.
Tag ridings beat mark hens with a brilliant eagle in the first play-off hole to bag the winner's cheque of $76,500. The two had earlier tied at a 72-hole aggregate of 16-under 272 which forced the play-off.
Jeev began with a series of Pars before sinking a superb eagle on the fourth. A bogey on the sixth saw him make the turn at one-under. Starting his outward journey with his second bogey of the day, Jeev went on to birdie the 11th and dropped a shot on the 16th before closing his round with back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th.
