Sirsa(Haryana), July 18: Punjab vigilance sleuths searched the farmhouse of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at Balasar near here for the second day today in connection with a corruption case registered against the Akali Dal chief and his family members. Official sources said the Punjab Vigilance Bureau team, headed by SP Amarjit Singh, completed the search by the evening.

The vigilance sleuths, accompanied by engineers of Public Works Department and revenue officers, noted all necessary measurements of the farmhouse located in 350 acres of land to assess its value, they said. A Kharar court had issued 13 warrants on June 27 for search of 16 properties belonging to Badal and his family members in Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. The house of SAD chief's son and Rajya Sabha member Sukhbir Badal's PA Krishan Kumar in Vasant Kunj area of New Delhi was included in the list later.

The warrants were returnable by July 20 and the properties raided so far include Orbit Resort (Gurgaon), Sukhbir's house and shop-cum-offices in Chandigarh, a poultry farm near Kharar, petrol pumps in Badal village and a workshop at Killianwali. The properties to be searched include Sukhbir's official residence and two flats in New Delhi and Krishan Kumar's Vasant Kunj house.
