Telecom engineers to observe three-day relay hunger strike
Kolkata, Oct 22: Telecom engineers in Kolkata would participate in an indefinite `work according to rules` agitation and 3-day relay hunger strike from tomorrow to protest denial of pay scale as suggested by Mohan Committee.

State Secretary of Telecom Engineering Officers' Association (India) A K Pal said the relay hunger strike at telephone Bhawan would be organised from October 23 to 25.
The agitation was also launched against certain other long pending issues related to absorption of group - b and group - a officers in BSNL and MTNL, pal said in a release.
