Chandigarh, Oct 08: Shiromani Akali Dal chief and former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal today said he had assured the Vigilance Bureau probing corruption cases against him and his family members of his full cooperation even though he had no faith in their investigation. Talking to reporters outside his residence here shortly before Vigilance Bureau sleuths arrived for questioning him , Badal said "it seemed Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has already delivered the verdict that I will not be allowed to go free." "Is he (Amarinder) a court?" Badal asked, adding the entire exercise is vague. Badal said his son and MP Sukhbir Singh Badal and wife Surinder Kaur Badal will answer all the questions of the vigilance team. "Whatever they ask we will answer," he said. The Akali leader said the Congress government had set up obstacles to stop party workers at different places in Punjab from reaching here.
His party workers will not create any law and order problem and the apprehensions of the government are ill-founded, Badal said.
Meanwhile, a large number of Akali workers assembled outside Badal's residence raising anti-government slogans. Chandigarh police had been deployed in large number in the area to maintain law and order.
