New Delhi, Apr 30: Apprehending disturbances and booth capturing by RJD activists in Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, where Union Minister Sharad Yadav is pitted against RJd Supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav, JD(U) today demanded that the election commission should order deployment of central forces in all the booths for May five polls. "We appeal to the EC that for ensuring free and fair poll in Madhepura, all state government staff should be removed from poll duty and the security should be entrusted only to para-military forces," JD(U) spokesman Shiv Kumar told reporters. He said if the commission failed to ensure that voters exercise their right to franchise, people would lose faith in the EC. Kumar claimed that despite all the "foul methods" allegedly adopted by ruling RJD to grab booths in Chapra, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj and Samastipur Lok Sabha constituencies which went to polls in the first phase on May 26, "the NDA candidates are still ahead".
