Raipur, June 21: Chhattisgarh Police have arrested four persons in connection with the killing of NCP treasurer Ram Avatar Jaggi on June 4, police said today. A police party nabbed one Vinod Singh and two others from Benares in connection with the murder and brought them here, Raipur senior superintendent of police Mukesh Gupta told a newsagency here today.

Earlier, one Vishwanath was arrested and police was interrogating all the four accused, he added.

A crime branch team had initially gone to Mau district of Uttar Pradesh and on getting information that they are at Benares, police went there and brought Jamwanth, Anand Sharma and Vinod Singh to Raipur.

The weapons and the vehicle used for the crime had not yet been recovered, police said adding that money was suspected to be the motive behind the killing of Jaggi, who was also a prominent businessman of the city.
