Bangalore, June 25: After failing to persuade the Karnataka government to hand over the Nagappa kidnap issue to CBI for a probe, the family of the slain JD-U leader today said they would be filing a writ petition in the high court next week, seeking a direction for investigation by the Central agency. "We are filing a writ petition in the high court next week seeking a direction to the state government to hand over the case to the CBI," Nagappa's son-in-law Kiran Patel said. The family here today filed three affidavits before the one-member judicial commission probing the case. Among the other affidavits filed included 16 by the general public and one by Kollegal JD-U leader Ponnachi Mahadevaswami. Bureau Report
