Itanagar, June 17: Internal bickerings in the Arunachal Pradesh Congress surfaced today with two party MLAs Lijum Ronya and L Wanglat, demanding the resignation of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mukut Mithi for his 'failure' in all fronts to govern the state.
Talking to pressmen here Ronya who was dropped from Mithi ministry recently and Wanglat who was arrested for his alleged nexus with NSCN and later released on bail were very critical about the chief minister's governance and demanded his resignation.
Both of them said that they had met the Governor today to apprise him of the political situation in the state and expressed hope that the Governor would consider their viewpoints.
Regarding corruption, they said there should be a blanket CBI-inquiry on the functioning of the Mithi government instead of conducting piece-meal inquiry by CBI on individual ministers.
Mithi's claim for transparency and accountability was just a mockery and only a CBI inquiry would be able to expose the facts, they added.
About the link between the politicians and NSCN ultras, they said it was in the complete knowledge of Mithi and he cannot backtrack now from the reality, they added.
