Panaji, Nov 17: In a bid to popularise the use of Khadi through glamour and style, the Kasturbha Gandhi Trust, Goa, has decided to organise a two-day exhibition-cum-sale of khadi fabrics designed by internationally renowned designer Wendell Rodricks from today at Kala Academy in the city.
''The sales proceeds would go to the trust to augment its resources in improving the lot of the underprivileged women and children while promoting Khadi'', according to the Trust representative Mangala Wagle.
While talking to the media, she said, ''the trust had planned to launch a new project for providing marketing facilities for the articles made by the underprivileged women at Cancun soon''.
''At present, the trust was running the Hamara School benefiting around 20 street children with facilities for food, shelter and education, she added.
