New Delhi, Nov 27: The Delhi High Court today rejected the plea for an independent inquiry into the Ansal Plaza shootout and quashing of police notice to Hari Krishna. Instead, the court directed him to appear before Delhi Police tomorrow to record his statement. Hari Krishna had claimed the encounter with two Pakistani terrorists at the shopping mall was stage-managed.

Disposing of a petition filed by Krishna seeking an independent inquiry into the shootout incident and quashing of police notice to him for recording his statement, a bench comprising acting Chief Justice Devinder Gupta and Justice A K Sikri said he would appear before the South Delhi ACP Ranbir Singh at 4 pm tomorrow.
Krishna, who was given notice by police on November 8, five days after the shootout, for recording his statement under Section 160 of Code of Criminal Procedure as a witness, had so far declined to appear before them alleging that he was being threatened by some police officials. Bureau Report
