Sonam, who will be honoured by ET Panache with 'Trendsetter Award' for the year 2016, also counts eminent painter Amrita Sher-Gil, airhostess Neerja Bhanot among those who inspire her.

"I like people who have passion. Amrita Sher-Gil came to India in search of her own voice. Sarojini Naidu, Neerja Bhanot, these people were the best versions of themselves and that's what I aspire to be.

"I just read Meryl Streep's autobiography. She lives her life with dignity. Actresses like Diane Keaton, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson are all incredible," Sonam said.

The Neerja actress will soon start shooting for Veere Di Wedding, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar.
