Shiv Sena would move the Supreme Court against the implementation of report of the Srikrishna Commission that probed the 1992-93 communal flare-up and serial bomb blasts in the metropolis following the Babri Mosque demolition. "A squad of 50-100 senior advocates is backing Sena and we will be moving the apex court to bring to the fore how Srikrishna Commission committed injustice and how it omitted certain things," Sena supremo Bal Thackeray said in an interview to the party mouth-piece Saamna.
The previous Sena-BJP government had scrapped the Srikrishna Commission but later revived it at the instance of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said.
Though the then ruling saffron combine rejected the recommendations of the commission, that had indicted the Sena chief among others, the Democratic Front (DF) government that came to the power later instituted a special task force (STF) to take action on the report.
