Punjab Public Service Commission chairman Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu's key tout Randhir Singh Gill alias Dhira has named several VVIPs including former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, in the cash-for-job scam, police sources said on Monday night. Ludhian-based Markfed employee Dhira, who was arrested on Sunday night by Punjab Vigilance Bureau, revealed that all the 91 Punjab Civil Services (executive) posts filled during Sidhu's tenure were tainted as each of these posts have been either purchased by paying hefty sum or got after recommendations from influential personalities. The reported revelations which were made by Dhira during the first phase of interrogation indicate that he has taken a few more candidates to Sidhu for selection to PCS however the chairman has turned the candidates away saying that the entire vacancies have been already paid for, police sources said.
Dhira has named three trusted names of Badal whose wards were accommodated by Sidhu, the sources said. Dhira has also named a former SSP who allegedly paid Rs 70 lakh for his daughter selection in PCS and a Rs 2.8 crore for his son's selection as DSP.
Dhira reportedly confirmed the modus operandi of leaking question papers as well as their home delivery.
