Bhopal, Oct 19: Expressing concern over increasing crime against women, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today asserted that stern steps are being taken to bring to book those involved in the rape of a Swiss diplomat in Delhi.

"All steps are being taken to apprehend the culprits in the recent rape (of a Swiss diplomat) incident in Delhi," Vajpayee said addressing a women's rally organised by BJP here to launch the party's election campaign in Madhya Pradesh.
Referring to atrocities against women in Madhya Pradesh, he said, "I am shocked to note that the state is ahead of other states as far as rape is concerned".

The Prime Minister charged the Congress government with neglecting women during the past ten years leading to low literacy rate among women, disturbed women-men ratio and rise in infant mortality rate.
