Lucknow, Aug 30: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today lashed out at Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav for taking credit for the decisions taken by her government for the welfare of farmers and students. "Yadav made some announcements after taking oath yesterday to project that he was the saviour of the farmers, students an poor but the fact is that all these decisions were taken by me and were to be made public during the budget session of the state assembly," Mayawati told newsperons here.
"Yadav, by making these announcements, wants to project a pro-farmer and pro-student image and take credit for the decisions taken by me," she added.
She said that her government had already decided to clear cane dues worth Rs 760 crores in phases and reverse the decision to hike college fee, she added.

On the withdrawal of Pota cases against independent MLA Raja Bhaiya and his family members, she said Yadav's perception that the said charges were politically motivated were wrong.
The Pota court had upheld these charges against Raja Bhaiya which could be proved through the court documents, she added.
She rejected all speculations that the CBI had contacted her in connection with the ongoing Taj heritage corridor inquiry.
