Hyderabad, Sept 27: The opposition Congress and CPI (M) members today staged a noisy walkout in Andhra Pradesh Assembly protesting the `wave of scams' rocking the state and government's refusal to include the post of Chief Minister under the purview of Lok Ayukta. Vociferous opposition members stalled the entire question hour, staging dharna near the podium and raising slogans in favour of their demand for resignation of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu owning moral responsibility for a string of scams, the latest being the fake stamp paper scam. Amidst continued furore, marked by congress members waving placards and frequently rushing to the podium, Speaker K Pratibha Bharathi adjourned the house for tea-break. The din showed no signs of subsiding after the house re-assembled with opposition members pressing with their demands. The Congress and CPI (m) members demanded that all scams that had been unearthed during the last eight years be included in the proposed judicial probe by a sitting supreme court judge into the stamp paper racket.

Voicing protest over government's `silence' over their demands, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Y S Rajasekhar Reddy led a walk-out by his party members.

Later, CPI(M) members also trooped out of the house.
