Gurgaon, June 26: A local court today remanded former Haryana cooperation minister Rao Narbeer Singh, arrested in connection with a corruption case, in police custody until June 29.
Gurgaon, June 26: A local court today remanded former Haryana cooperation minister Rao Narbeer Singh, arrested in connection with a corruption case, in police custody until June 29.
Singh was arrested from his residence yesterday by the state vigilance bureau on the charge of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
He was produced before the chief judicial magistrate B P Sirohia today who remanded him in custody for four days.
Singh was cooperation minister in the erstwhile Bansilal-led Haryana Vikas Party ministry.
Supporters of Singh today took out a procession raising slogans against the Chautala government accusing him of pursuing a police of revenge against political opponents.
