The mind-blowing trailer has triggered a buzz whether Aamir Khan be will be able to break his own record by making Dangal the highest grossing film in the Indian cinema, surpassing the record of his previous two releases 'Three Idiots' and 'PK'.

Impressed with 'Dangal' trailer, noted film trade analyst Komal Nahta has said that the film will make Rs 400 crore, setting a new trend.

If this happens, then Aamir will break all his previous records. His 'PK' has been the highest grosser domestically till date as it made more than Rs 300 crore.

'PK', which released on December 19, 2014, had smashed the box office record set by 'Dhoom 3'. It collected 310 crore in India and 600 crore worldwide just after 19 days of its release.

Its life time collection was around 360 crore.

PK was directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and featured Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. With PK, Aamir smashed his own record set by 'Dhoom 3'. He started the trend of 100 crore club with the success of 'Ghajini'. It was followed by '3 Idiots' which entered the 200 crore club and 'PK' crossing the Rs 300 crore mark.

The collection record of 'Ghajini' stood for one year and the same for '3 Idiots' stood for 4 years until Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Chennai Express' broke it. But Aamir Khan soon smashed its record with 'Dhoom 3'.

Interestingly, all top 3 highest worldwide grosser (3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, PK) are all Aamir Khan starers. He is undoubtedly the biggest super star in Bollywood as far box office numbers are concerned. So, it may not be exaggeration to say that only Aamir Khan can break his own record.

Dangal, which is based on the real life story of  wrestler Mahavir Phogat, who believes in his daughters and trains them in wrestling, is releasing on Christmas 2016.
