"The interactive sessions of the chief ministers conclave were at societal and government level. The Shimla conclave would be more focussed on party level to attempt to discuss poll strategies, programmes and organisational matters", party spokesman Abhishekh Singhvi told reporters.
The session, five years after the first session at Panchmarhi in August 1998, would also attempt to focus on younger leadership at PCC level and explore their potential in coming assembly elections later this year and Lok Sabha polls next year, he said.
The session would come out with five background papers on political, economic, agriculture, international and social empowerment which would guide the party programmes in the days to come, he said.
