BJP, Cong youth team join hands with Israel to stop terrorism
Jerusalem, July 29: A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress youth leaders visiting Israel have committed to carry on with the cooperation between the two countries in the `common` fight against terrorism.
Jerusalem, July 29: A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress youth leaders visiting Israel have committed to carry on with the cooperation between the two countries in the 'common' fight against terrorism.
The Indian delegation was briefed on Israel's fight against terror and the current situation in the region when they visited the international policy institute for counter-terrorism.
G Kishan Reddy, national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, stressed on the strategic Indo-Israel alliance and the need for the two countries to come together and cooperate in all possible fields - hi-tech, agriculture, intelligence sharing and 'especially in combating the shared threat of terrorism'. Congress Party delegate Nachiketa Kapur, co-ordinator of the Foreign Affairs Department of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), lauded the Indo-Israeli cooperation and called for profitable alliances in other areas.
The delegation is being hosted by the Israeli foreign ministry in order to familiarise the next generation of Indian leaders with the situation in the region.
The delegation members also met former prime minister Shimon Peres.
