Jammu, Mar 11: The Panthers Party, BJP and several other organizations opposing the Permanent Resident (Disqualification) Bill, have called for a bandh in Jammu. The proposed bill deprives women, who marry outside the state, of property rights

People of Jammu are particularly against the bill as many women from the region marry outside the state.

Meanwhile, the Panthers Party has threatened to pull out of the Mufti Sayeed government, if the bill is not withdrawn in the Legislative Council. The party has four MLAs in the 86-member assembly and two ministers in the government. Bureau Report
