18 IAS officers transferred in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 17: Despite the ban on transfers ahead of this year`s assembly elections in Rajasthan, the state government effected a reshuffle of 18 IAS officers late last night, an official release said today.

Anil Vaishya, till now the chairman of the revenue board in Ajmer, has been shifted to the State Mines and Mineral Ltd as chairman. Surendra Kumar, who was secretary cooperative department, will replace Vaishya.
Ashok Jain has been shifted from social welfare department to industry department as commissioner, while Lalit Mehra would take over Jain's post.
Vipin Chandra Sharma, till now secretary in the state election commission would now be the director of the Indira Gandhi Panchayat Raj institutions.
Deepak Upreti will take over the post of commissioner in commercial taxation, Usha Sharma as the commissioner in the Jaipur Development Authority, and Dinesh K Goyal as secretary cooperative department.
B L Arya has been reshuffled as registrar of cooperative societies, B R Meena as chairman of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project, Yadvendra Mathur as chairman and managing director of Rajasthan Finance Corporation, P Agarwal as secretary in finance department, K S Rathore as additional commissioner in commercial taxation, and K N Gupta as chief executive officer in Jaipur Municipal Corporation.
Among others transferred are Manju Rani Alok Gupta, Ashwani Bhagat, and Dinesh Kumar.
