New Delhi, Sept 06: Indian Air Force today dismissed reports that its SU-30 fighter squadrons had been grounded due to some technical snags in the engine blades. An IAF spokesman here said though some of the aircraft acquired from Russia faced warranty snags, the squadron was continuing with staggered flying. He said the rectification of the snags had been taken up with the Russians who had agreed to despatch a team of specialists to look into them. Moreover, the spokesman said the SU-30 were now almost on the verge of being sent to Russia for upgradation to MKI adding that both the SU-30 Squadrons would be sent to Moscow starting February 2004.
