Eleven people, including 10 Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, were killed in separate incidents, while two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir since Wednesday night.

In a major encounter seven militants of Pakistan-based LeT outfit were gunned down by security forces at check-Dajipora in Langate area of Kupwara district early Thursday, a police spokesman said.

The army launched the operation following a tip-off on Wednesday evening, he said adding during the encounter, which continued throughout the night, a huge cache of arms and ammunitions were also recovered.
Another LeT militant, identified as Abu Zubair, was killed in an encounter with a joint search party of police and army at Hadipora-Dangiwacha area of Baramulla district on Wednesday night. An AK assault rifle, an under-barrel grenade launcher and some ammunition were recovered from him, he said.

In another incident in Kashmir, a truck driver was killed in a shootout between militants and security forces at Wusan area of Ganderbal on Wednesday evening, the spokesman said.
suratgarh, may 24 (pti) A massive fire broke out on Thursday in an army ammunition depot storing heavy and medium ammunitions at Birdhwal town, 20 km from Suratgarh, near the international border in Rajasthan, police said.

Loud explosions were heard and huge balls of fire could be seen following the blaze, which started around noon, at the depot located on the Gangnagar-Bikaner national highway no 15, they said.
