Patiala, Nov 05: A local court today extended till tomorrow the police remand of Punjabi singer Sukhwinder Singh Mann alias Sukha Delhiwala, arrested in connection with a human trafficking case on Monday. The order was pronounced by the judicial magistrate in whose court Sukha was produced by police here. Yesterday, he had been sent to police remand for a day.
A case was registered against Sukhwinder Singh Mann, his brother Mukhwinder Mann, wife Kamaljit Mann and secretary and brother-in-law Paramjit Singh on a complaint of one Balbir Singh who alleged that the singer failed to take his two sons abroad after taking the first installment of Rs eight lakh out of Rs 16 lakh demanded by him.
Balbir Singh, a resident of Noorkhedi village near here, had alleged that the singer had promised to take his two sons Pargat Singh and Pushpinder Singh abroad after fixing an alliance with two girls reported to be settled in the US, but failed to do so. Bureau Report
