Continuing with their violent spree, naxalites of the banned Peoples' War Group (PWG) have blown up a court building housing the offices of assistant session judge and judicial first class magistrate at Asifabad in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh. According to police, six ultras came to the court building late Friday night and blew it by placing detonators.
The incident follows the blowing up by the naxalites of a milk plant belonging to the family members of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and a granite factory owned by central minister of state for defence Krishnam Raju on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, police have sounded a red alert in naxal-infested areas and beefed up security to the other units of heritage foods, belonging to chief minister Naidu's family, in the wake of the blasting of the milk chilling unit at Piler in Chittoor district. Police said intensive combing operations were underway in Talakona forest area in Chittoor district to track the extremists involved in the blast of the heritage milk chilling plant.
