The industrial town of Kanpur and adjoining areas continued to reel under cold wave conditions as mercury further dipped disrupting normal life.
According to reports, trains between Kanpur-Delhi and Kanpur-Howarah were running behind schedule as thick fog engulfed the area. Fast and superfast trains between Delhi -Howarah section of the northern railways were running 2 to 4 hours behind schedule.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for bonfire for shelterless people in the town at various places.

The minimum temperature was recorded 6 degree celcius on Sunday which further dipped, according to weathermen in Kanpur. Reports said cold wave conditions would continue for another 48 hours. Bureau Report
