Modi allots portfolios; retains home, industry
Gandhinagar, Dec 23: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today allotted portfolios to his 15-member cabinet and retained 11 departments including, home, industry, general administration and information & broadcasting with him.

administration and information & broadcasting with him.
The portfolios were allotted after the first cabinet meeting here, official sources said.
While the finance portfolio was given to Vajubhai Vala, law and justice affairs was allotted to Ashok Bhatt. Anandiben Patel has retained the portfolio of education which includes primary, secondary and higher and technical education. The departments kept by the chief minister also include energy and power, petro chemical, Narmada, science and technology, ports, Kalpsar project department and policy matters. Bureau Report
