Chennai, Aug 20: Ramesh Krishnan, Indian Davis Cup team's non-playing captain, today said that he was shocked to hear about Leander Paes suffering from brain lesion. Paes, one of the world's best doubles player, had checked himself into an emergency room near his home in Orlando, USA and a scan showed lesion in the left occipital region of the brain. Reacting to the news Krishnan said, "All that I had known from the newspapers is that Paes was suffering from viral fever and that he and Mahesh Bhupathi were forced to withdraw from the ATP tour event in Long Islands." "I am shocked to hear the news," he said adding, "Now let us not discuss about Davis Cup or any other events. I am trying to digest the news and recover from the shock. I wish him speedy recovery and then everything will be in place and under control," Krishnan said. Bureau Report
