New Delhi, Nov 12: Poonam Azad, BJP`s candidate for Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit`s Gole Market constituency, today filed her nomination papers for the December one Delhi Assembly polls. Accompanied by party leaders V K Malhotra, Jagmohan, Vinod Khanna and hundreds of supporters, the wife of cricketer-turned-politician Kirti Azad filed her papers before the returning officer at around 2.45 pm.
Poonam is a fresh face and her nomination for the prestigious constituency has already caused ruffles in the party-fold.
The constituency is currently represented by Dikshit and she is likely to be fielded again by Congress from there.
