Islamabad, Sept 02: Pakistan today said its High Commission in New Delhi was in touch with Kashmiri separatist leaders.
Asked about reports of a meeting between Kashmir separatist leader Shabbir Shah and a senior Pakistani diplomat in New Delhi, a foreign office spokesman here said "We are in touch with Kashmiri leaders".
"We keep holding meetings with them. I cannot give the details. Generally, our high commission is in touch with the Kashmir leaders", the spokesman said.
He termed as "mischievious, misguided and planted" the the reports of a possible split in the Hurriyat Conference on the issue of contesting election in Jammu and Kashmir and said "As far as the elections are concerned, the Hurriyat leaders clearly stated their position that they have rejected these polls".
