Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf may also visit New York and Washington next month around the same time Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee planned to trip to United States, media reports in Islamabad said.

Musharraf's plan to visit US in early November has been to attend the UN General Assembly, Pakistan daily ‘The News’ reported on Thursday. Chances of the second summit meeting between Musharraf and Vajpayee were also bright, the newspaper said.

Quoting officials, it said, no decision has been taken yet over the dates of Musharraf's visit. If he decides to go then he would also be going to Washington to meet US President George W Bush, it said adding that so far no invitation has been extended by Washington to the Pakistani President.
Vajapyee has accepted an invitation from Bush to visit Washington On November 9. The invitation was delivered by US Secretary of State Collin Powell when he visited New Delhi early this week.


Pakistan officials do not rule out a Musharraf and Vajpayee meeting as both of them had agreed to meet in New York on Sept 25 on the sidelines of UNGA, which was subsequently cancelled due to terrorist attacks in the New York and Washington.
