Kasaragod, July 14: The political controversy that followed Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony's recent observations on minority communities would soon be resolved by the Congress high command, KPCC president K Muraleedharan said today.
"The Congress high command is thoroughly aware of each and
every development in the party and I am hopeful that the
central party leaders will resolve the crisis within two to
three days," Muraleedharan told reporters here.
The KPCC chief, who was here in connection with the inauguration of an anti-communal convention, said he did not find anything wrong in the way the Muslim league leadership reacted to Antony's remarks that the minorities were trying to pressurise the government for benefit of their communities.
Muraleedharan criticised Union minister O Rajagopal for making statements which 'went against the interest of the state'.
He also asked the state government to take stern action against VHP leader Pravin Togadia for criticising a particular community for their alleged involvement in the Marad carnage.
