Jodhpur, Apr 04: Accusing the Ashok Gehlot government of being "politically biased" in providing relief to drought-hit people, Rajasthan BJP vice-president Onkar Singh Lakhawat today demanded implementation of a 'famine code' in the state.
For providing "transparant" relief to all the suffering people, a famine code should be implemented that does not discriminate people on political lines, Lakhawat told a news
conference here last evening.
"Because of slackness of the administration and political bias by the state government, the drought-hit people were facing unending sufferings," earlier, addressing a divisional meeting of party workers, Lakhawat demanded the state government to issue a 'white paper' on the assistance received from the Centre for drought relief.
