London, Nov 02: A high-level select committee of the House of Commons will visit India from tomorrow to look into the functioning of the visa system in the British Missions in New Delhi and Mumbai. Keith Vaz, former minister for foreign and Commonwealth office and senior Labour MP on the visit told last night the committee during its 3-day visit would also examine the extent of improvement in the visa systems since the system was streamlined a couple of years ago when he was in-charge of the visas. The committee, constituted to inquire into immigration and asylum appeals process, would also examine the extent to which recent reforms have improved efficiency and the quality of the appeals process.
