Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar on Thursday ordered his forces to pull out of Ghazni province southwest of Kabul, the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) reported.
But the Pakistan-based news agency quoted Taliban spokesman Mullah Abdullah as saying Omar was "in a safe place in Kandahar and he has suffered no harm.

"The Taliban stand united behind his leadership and he continues to be in full command," Abdullah said.
