Kottayam, Nov 08: Nair Service Society (NSS) general
secretary P .K. Narayana Panicker today reiterated that NSS
would keep equi-distance from all political parties and
protect the interest of the country and democracy.
NSS had taken its attitude as people gave the mandate to
the present government to rule five years, but a section of the
people was trying to pull down the government, which act was
“undemoratic”, Panicker said in a statement. This did not mean
that NSS was supporting only one party, he clarified.
NSS was not interested in interfering with internal affairs of any political party. NSS had no politics and it was an organisation comprising of people from different political parties and the bid to pull down the government which came to power with a huge majority was against people's mandate, he assereted. NSS had the power to withstand any false implication adopted by anybody, he said. The present political parties were thinking only in communal terms right from prospectus to fixation of candidate, he said adding that votes on communal basis were also needed for all, the statement added.
