Baripada (Orissa), Sept 29: The only accused in the Graham Staines murder case to have been acquitted by the trial court was taken into custody along with another person for fomenting communal tension, police sources said here today. Aniruddha Dandapat alias Andha Nayak and Ranjan Sahu, the self-proclaimed state secretary of "Dara Sena", were rounded up, on charge of fomenting communal tension, under the Cr Pc on Saturday night at Padiabeda in Mayurbhanj district, they said.

Dandapat had been acquitted by the court on September 15 as there was insufficient evidence against him, while Dara Singh was sentenced to death and 12 others were awarded life sentence. Bureau Report
