Four more held in conspiracy to foment trouble case in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, July 17: Crime branch has arrested four persons, including two former members of notorious Latif gang for their alleged involvement in `conspiracy to foment large scale disturbances in Gujarat` in which the state government has slapped Pota.

The total number of arrests in the case has reached 33
after crime branch began its crack down with the arrest of
four "ISI" operatives, who are also alleged to be involved in
assassination of former Gujarat home and revenue minister
Haren Pandya on March 26 this year.
The sleuths yesterday arrested Gulam Mohammed alias Gulal
alias Arif Abdulkadar Shiekh and Mohammed Rafiq alias R D
Majid Pathan from the sensitive Kalupur and Dariapur areas and
also recovered a "loaded" country-made revolver from the
former's possession.
Interrogation revealed that the duo were accomplices of
underworld don Latif and had also served imprisonment.
They had also come in contact with Mufti Sufiyan, who is alleged to have masterminded Pandya's assassination and the conspiracy to foment disturbances, in connivance with Karachi-based Rasool Party, crime branch sources said.

Sufiyan is absconding since Pandya's killing.
Two other persons identified as Abdul Latif alias
Kashmirilala Mohammed Pathan, a resident of Vatva and Ayub
Khan Pathan of Shahpur area were arrested outside city railway
station in Kalupur area.
Officials also found a loaded pistol worth Rs two lakh and Rs 1.24 lakh cash from Abdul Latif, whose glass factory in Vatva area was damaged in post-Godhra riots in the city.
