Relief to Kashmiri migrants enhanced by Rs 150 per month
Jammu, Nov 25: Acting swiftly on the special package announced by the Centre, Jammu and Kashmir government has enhanced cash relief for Kashmiri migrants by Rs 150 per head per month, Revenue Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yasin said today.

The relief for migrants has been increased from the
existing rate of Rs 600 per head per month to Rs 750 per head
per month with a ceiling of Rs 3000 per month per family for
four persons or more, Yasin told reporters here.
The increase in the relief amount on the directions of the central government, shall have effect from July 01, 2003, Yasin said, adding that this was done on the basis of a communication received from the government of India.
He said the enhancement would mean an additional expenditure of Rs 10.80 lakhs annually.
