Malvan (Maha), Dec 21: Seven highly decomposed bodies have been found dumped in a gorge at Dharwas Hill near Nandos village in Sindhudurg district, nearly 14 km from "Although the bodies are in a highly decomposed state and are suspected to have been dumped at least a month ago, it is now established all seven are adult males," Superintendent of Police (Sidhudurg) Santosh Rastogi said from the spot.
The district police control room received information about the bodies last evening. By the time police reached the Dharwas Hill and found the bodies in two gunny bags, it was late evening and hence the retrieval operation had to discontinue, he said.
"The retrieval operation started this morning and inquest `panchanama' has been performed," Rastogi said adding, the bodies would be removed during the day. It can be reached only by a trekking path, he said adding,
The closest human habitation from the hilly area, where the bodies recovered, is the forest area Gavkarwadi, located 4 km away. Bureau Report
