Raipur, Jan 07: Former Union minister and prominent BJP leader Larang Sai passed away last night, party sources said here today. The end came Sai suffered a massive heart attack at his native place Ambikapur, district headquarters of Sarguja, about 400 km from here, in Chhattisgarh, a BJP spokesman said.
Chief Minister Raman Singh, Revenue Minister Ram Vichar Netam and BJP state president Nand Kumar Sai visited Ambikapur among other prominent leaders today to pay homage to Sai.
Born on October 20, 1935, Sai was an MLA in 1967, 1972 and 1980 and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Sarguja in 1977, 1989 and 1998. He was Minister of State for labour and parliamentary affairs in 1977, assembly sources said. Bureau Report
