Harare, May 03: Sri Lanka enjoyed a runs' festival against Zimbabwe 'A' at Takashinga Cricket Club in the high density Harare suburb of Highfield here. The visitors scored 461 all out yesterday in reply to the home team's first innings total of 294, a lead of 167 in this three-day match.

In their second innings, Zimbabwe 'A' were 28-1, still 149 behind.

Sanath Jayawardene hit 116 in 106 balls, with two sixes and 17 fours while Kumar Sangakkara made 95 with two sixes and 16 fours. Tuwan Samarawira, in his first innings on the tour, struck 97 in more sedate fashion but he still hit 17 boundaries. Then Thilina Kandamby recorded 52, made up entirely of boundaries -- two sixes and 10 fours.

Despite the 66 times that the boundary ropes were breached, Zimbabwe off-spin bowler Trevor Gripper was able to get three wickets for only 22 runs conceded.
