Ahmedabad, Nov 15: A gritty India today successfully chased the third highest total ever in a one-day match to beat the West Indies by five wickets at the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium here.
India, set 325 to win, achieved the target losing five wickets with 14 balls to spare in the day/night fourth one dayer of the seven-match series to square it up at 2-2. Australia hold the record for the highest run chase having made 330 against South Africa, while the record for the second highest chase is also held by India having made 326 for eight against England at Lords in June 2002.
