Pune, Dec 28: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said that it would not hesitate to have a confrontation with the Vajpayee government on the issue of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Briefing reporters on the sidelines of the crucial VHP meeting, underway in the city, its international working president Ashok Singhal said the Central government should not take VHP for granted.
Replying to a question on how could BJP agree to the VHP demand when its other NDA allies would not support them, Singhal said, "We are committed to hindutva and not to any party. Hence, we will not think twice about confrontation with the government in this regard."
