New Delhi, Oct 13: As the Congress-NCP row appeared withering away, Congress President Sonia Gandhi would be undertaking a two-day tour of Maharashtra later this week. AICC General Secretary Vayalar Ravi told reporters that Gandhi would be visiting Marathwada and western Maharashtra regions.
She would be unveiling a statue of Indira Gandhi at Udgir and addressing a farmers rally at Beer in Marathwada on March 18. She would also address rallies at Karad in Satara district and at Kolhapur the next day.
Senior Maharashtra minister Vilaskaka Patil today met Gandhi and invited her for the party rally in Karad. Patil said she would also be visiting some drought hit areas of Satara and Sangli districts.
